02.06.2016 Completed modernisation of the line near Tábor brought the first railway tunnel to South Bohemia

Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) festively completed modernisation of a railway line 12 kilometres long between Tábor and Sudoměřice u Tábora which was under way since 2013. This helped to increase comfort for passengers on the line from Praha to Tábor to shorten further journey times.

The main objective of this project is achieving a technical state corresponding to EU parameters and standards.

17.05.2016 Travelling by train on the line Velký Osek – Hradec Králové – Choceň is faster and safer

Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration) improved parameters of a part of the railway line leading from Velký Osek through Chlumec nad Cidlinou, Hradec Králové and Týniště nad Orlicí to Choceň. The main objective of this project is achieving a technical state corresponding to EU parameters and standards.

13.05.2016 SŽDC modernised switches on railway lines in Moravia

Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure administration) completed modernisation of switches on single-track lines in the district of the Regional Directorate Olomouc and at Zábřeh na Moravě and Hranice na Moravě railway stations. The main asset of the project is ensuring higher transport smoothness and increasing railway operation safety.

12.05.2016 Line section Benešov u Prahy – Votice covered by GSM-R signal

Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration) introduced a digital radio system GSM-R along the line section Benešov u Prahy – Votice approximately 19 kilometres long. The festive completion of the construction took place today at Benešov u Prahy railway station.

10.05.2016 Travelling by train between Most and Chomutov is faster and safer

Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration - SŽDC) improved parameters of the railway line leading from Ústí nad Labem to Klášterec nad Ohří in the section between Most and Chomutov. The main objective of this project was to achieve a technical state for this line section corresponding to EU parameters and standards.

05.05.2016 Modernisation of Horusice – Veselí nad Lužnicí line section complete

Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration) festively completed modernisation of the line Horusice - Veselí nad Lužnicí which is part of Czech Rail Transit Corridor IV. Works included especially building a second track of a section between stations approximately five kilometres long which allowed an increase of transport capacity; line speed could be increased as well.

28.04.2016 Riding is faster and more comfortable on railway lines in Brno and its neighbourhood

Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Railway Infrastructure Administration – SZDC) festively completed reconstruction of tracks in the line sections Brno-Maloměřice – Brno-Královo Pole and Brno-Královo Pole – Kuřim. The main asset of both constructions is an increase of line speed and safety as well as traveling comfort.
