30.12.2015 Newly installed AVV train autopilot will increase safeguarding of railway lines and punctuality of trains

The Railway Infrastructure Administration implemented two projects for installing the line part of the Automatic Train Operation System (AVV). Its main asset is increasing operation safety, decreasing electrical power costs and ensuring a better observance of the timetable.

11.12.2015 Higher safety on railway crossings Trutnov - Teplice nad Metují

Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively launched the modernisation of railway crossings on the line Trutnov - Teplice nad Metují. The most important asset of this project is increasing railway transport safety in this section, smoothness of railway and road operation and ensuring higher comfort for passengers.

11.12.2015 New train timetable valid as of this Sunday

A new railway passenger transport timetable for 2016 will be valid as of Sunday 13 December. On that day, trains on several cross-border line sections leading to Germany and Poland will be riding again; new railway stops will be at disposal for passengers as well. The validity of the new timetable ends on 10 December 2016.

09.12.2015 Travelling by train in the line section Liberec – Harrachov will be considerably faster

Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed three constructions of the single-track regional line leading from Liberec through Tanvald, Desná and Kořenov up to Harrachov: a reconstruction of the line section Liberec – Tanvald and the Harrachov tunnel and establishing the Harrachov overtaking station.

04.12.2015 Railway transport from Bludov to Jeseník will be faster, safer and more comfortable

This year, the Railway Infrastructure Administration started revitalising the line from Bludov to Jeseník in the section Bludov (outside) – Hanušovice (outside). It will result especially in a line speed increase and a journey times reduction. Safety, travelling comfort and operation reliability will also improve thanks to revitalisation.

01.12.2015 Lines in the vicinity of Prague and railway line from Kolín to Brno covered by GSM-R signal

The Railway Infrastructure Administration introduced the GSM-R digital radio system on the lines Praha – Králův Dvůr, Praha – Benešov a Praha – Lysá nad Labem as well as on the bypass route of Czech Rail Transit Corridor I in the line section Kolín – Havlíčkův Brod – Křižanov – Brno. A festive completion of both constructions took place today at the Prague seat of the Railway Infrastructure Administration, Dlážděná Street.

26.11.2015 Trains in Prague between Bubeneč and Holešovice run faster, a new stop at Podbaba is now in service for passengers

Today, the association of suppliers led by Metrostav handed over the modernised section of the railway line between Prague city parts Bubeneč and Holešovice to the investor – the Railway Infrastructure administration. The optimisation of this line is an important European project of railway civil engineering; that is why the European Union participated in its co-financing through its Operational Programme Transport.
