The Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed reconstruction of tracks in the section Sklené nad Oslavou – Ostrov nad Oslavou as part of a frequented line between Havlíčkův Brod and Brno. The main asset of the construction is a line speed increase up to 120 km/h for classical trains and to 140 km/h for tilting trains.
The Railway Infrastructure Administration launched works on building a new overtaking station at Harrachov on the line from Liberec through Tanvald to the Polish railway station Szklarska Poręba Górna. The construction will be finalized this year so that assets of the project will be appreciated already in winter by passengers journeying on this line which is popular among tourists

The new converter stations are crucial for ensuring safety and reliable operation on the respective line sections. The necessity to implement these constructions resulted especially from increasing requirements for power feeding of railway lines.
Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed an extensive modernisation of Strakonice railway station which constitutes an important railway junction on the line České Budějovice – Plzeň. The implementation of this construction brought fundamental changes to the disposition arrangement at the station and its operational technology according to the newest standards in the field of railway operation safety and for passengers.

Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed the modernisation of railway crossings on the line between Kutná Hora and Zruč nad Sázavou. Six crossings of the railway line with road communications underwent reconstruction in total. The main asset of the project is especially increasing rail operation safety in this section and ensuring higher comfort for passengers.

The city of Hradec Králové is hosting the latest year of SŽDC Student Cup for the first time in its three-year history. This sports and educational event of the Czech railway infrastructure manager for pupils of the 8th – 9th class of primary schools will take place within the premises of a detached workplace of the High Industry and Technical School and Training Centre in Hradec Králové, Hradecká Street.
For the thirteenth time, the successful project of České dráhy ”Prevention Train for a safe railway“ departs today from the city of Humpolec for its journey through the Vysočina Region. It will present – each day in another city – an unconventional projection of the film “You won’t make it!”, a discussion with investigators or first aid practice. From Humpolec, the train will head for Havlíčkův Brod, on Wednesday to Žďár nad Sázavou, on Thursday it will stop in Jihlava and it will end its journey on Friday in Třebíč. The Prevention Train is based on uncommon methods of communication with young people which proved very useful in previous years.
