14.09.2015 Another line section between Prague and České Budějovice acquires a second track

Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed at Soběslav railway station the modernisation of a part of Czech Rail Transit Corridor IV from Prague to České Budějovice, more specifically the section from Veselí nad Lužnicí to Soběslav. Passengers can look forward especially to shorter journey times and last but not least to more comfortable and safer travelling.

11.09.2015 Český Brod acquires more comfortable access to platforms

The Railway Infrastructure Administration completed reconstruction of Český Brod railway station. The biggest asset of the whole project is an extension of the underpass and ensuring barrier-free access both from the passenger building and the Northern residential part of the city. The festive ceremonial in the railway station premises is a part of the 170 years celebration of the railway line Praha – Český Brod and 15 years of the Kostelec na Černými Lesy locality integration.

11.09.2015 Transport branch saved 80 million Czech crowns on energy purchase

The transport branch saved more than 80 million Czech crowns (CZK) on electrical power and natural gas purchase for the year 2016 compared to current contractual prices, from which over 53.3 million CZK on electrical power and over 26.5 million CZK on natural gas. This constitutes total savings amounting 20% compared to 2015.

09.09.2015 Railway Infrastructure Administration Student Cup once again this year in Brno

The premises of the Secondary School of Informatics and Communications in Brno-Komín became once again a setting for this year’s this year Student Cup. This all-day event organized by the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) is designed for pupils in the 7-th – 9th class of primary schools who could someday become SŽDC’s employees in a technical profession.

15.07.2015 The Czech Ministry of Transport chose the railway connection from Ruzyně to the centre of Prague and Kladno

The project of a railway connection from the Václav Havel Airport (Ruzyně) with the centre of Prague and Kladno, being postponed for many years, took a considerable step forward. The Czech Ministry of Transport chose the transport solution based on a feasibility study of the Railway Infrastructure Administration in which all available route options were evaluated from the point of view of track capacity, an operation model, environmental plausibility and economic effectiveness as a necessary condition for financing the construction from EU funds.
