The Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) has published the complete 2016 Timetable, which takes effect on 13 December this year, on its website. By publishing the Timetable on the web the state organisation fulfils its obligation under law.

21.10.2015 New traction substation at Albrechtice will ensure reliable operation of trains with electric traction in Český Těšín region

Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed the construction of a traction substation at Albrechtice. The new converter station is crucial for maintaining railway transport on an important connecting route between Ostrava and Český Těšín in the current extent, operation smoothness notwithstanding.

14.10.2015 Trains can ride faster on the modernised section of the line Havlíčkův Brod - Brno

The Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed reconstruction of tracks in the section Sklené nad Oslavou – Ostrov nad Oslavou as part of a frequented line between Havlíčkův Brod and Brno. The main asset of the construction is a line speed increase up to 120 km/h for classical trains and to 140 km/h for tilting trains.

01.10.2015 A new overtaking station for crossing of trains is being built at Harrachov

The Railway Infrastructure Administration launched works on building a new overtaking station at Harrachov on the line from Liberec through Tanvald to the Polish railway station Szklarska Poręba Górna. The construction will be finalized this year so that assets of the project will be appreciated already in winter by passengers journeying on this line which is popular among tourists

Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed the construction of traction substations Říkovice, Střelná, Ústí u Vsetína and Valašské Meziříčí. The new converter stations are crucial for ensuring safety and reliable operation on the respective line sections. The necessity to implement these constructions resulted especially from increasing requirements for power feeding of railway lines.

22.09.2015 Strakonice railway station underwent a considerable change

Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed an extensive modernisation of Strakonice railway station which constitutes an important railway junction on the line České Budějovice – Plzeň. The implementation of this construction brought fundamental changes to the disposition arrangement at the station and its operational technology according to the newest standards in the field of railway operation safety and for passengers.

22.09.2015 Operation on the line Kutná Hora - Zruč nad Sázavou safer thanks to modernised railway crossings

Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed the modernisation of railway crossings on the line between Kutná Hora and Zruč nad Sázavou. Six crossings of the railway line with road communications underwent reconstruction in total. The main asset of the project is especially increasing rail operation safety in this section and ensuring higher comfort for passengers.
