01.12.2015 Lines in the vicinity of Prague and railway line from Kolín to Brno covered by GSM-R signal

The Railway Infrastructure Administration introduced the GSM-R digital radio system on the lines Praha – Králův Dvůr, Praha – Benešov a Praha – Lysá nad Labem as well as on the bypass route of Czech Rail Transit Corridor I in the line section Kolín – Havlíčkův Brod – Křižanov – Brno. A festive completion of both constructions took place today at the Prague seat of the Railway Infrastructure Administration, Dlážděná Street.

26.11.2015 Trains in Prague between Bubeneč and Holešovice run faster, a new stop at Podbaba is now in service for passengers

Today, the association of suppliers led by Metrostav handed over the modernised section of the railway line between Prague city parts Bubeneč and Holešovice to the investor – the Railway Infrastructure administration. The optimisation of this line is an important European project of railway civil engineering; that is why the European Union participated in its co-financing through its Operational Programme Transport.

25.11.2015 Transit node Týniště nad Orlicí offers more comfortable travelling

Heightened and partially roofed platforms, an underpass and barrier-free access for passengers - all of this was provided by the reconstruction of Týniště nad Orlicí railway station in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou district, carried out by the Railway Infrastructure Administration. Its festive completion took place today.

23.11.2015 The Railway Infrastructure Administration SŽDC completed optimisation of a railway line from Cheb to Germany

The optimisation of the railway line from Cheb to the German state border is finished. The Railway Infrastructure Administration finalised it festively today at the Cultural Centre Svoboda in Cheb. The westmost part of Czech Railway Transit Corridor III now waits only for electrification and similar adaptations of a connecting line section in Germany.

18.11.2015 Thanks to TSI-TAF implementation, the Czech railway system is more open and competitive

The Railway Infrastructure Administration completed the second stage of TSI-TAF implementation into its information systems. The primary reason for this project is to satisfy requirements for mutual data communication pursuant to the Regulation of the European Commission No 62/2006 (ES) concerning the technical specification for interoperability relating to the telematic applications for freight subsystem of the trans-European conventional rail system, in short TSI–TAF.

10.11.2015 Rail Freight Corridor 5 Baltic-Adriatic Connects North and South

After several months of intense preparatory activities, an inauguration of Baltic-Adriatic Rail Freight Corridor 5 (RFC 5 took place in Warsaw. The corridor is part of the European freight railway network consisting of nine defined railway freight corridors established based on Regulation (EU) No 913/2010 of 22 September 2010.
