11.09.2014 The Railway Infrastructure Administration started revitalising the Šumava railway line from České Budějovice to Volary
Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration as the construction investor festively started in České Budějovice Station the revitalisation of the railway line from České Budějovice to Volary, being more than a hundred years old. After the works’ completion, travelling on a single-track Šumava local line will be faster, safer and more comfortable.
As of Monday 1 September 2014, the Railway Infrastructure Administration prepared an extraordinary change of regional railway passenger transport timetable. Adjustments in train rides will occur on lines No 036, 091, 120, 122, 173 and on a city transport line (ML).
Based on an agreement of Czech Railways with Liberec Region on partial renewal of regional trains’ operation on line No 086, the Railway Infrastructure Administration prepared an extraordinary railway passenger transport timetable change as of Friday, 1 August 2014.

A festive start of operation on the cross-border line leading to Dolní Poustevna was celebrated today in the German city of Sebnitz. Starting on the next day, regular passenger railway transport is going to return here. The new railway crossing’s opening will introduce a new line designated as U28 and connecting Děčín, Dolní Žleb, Bad Schandau, Sebnitz, Dolní Poustevna, Mikulášovice and Rumburk.
11.07.2014 Railway Infrastructure Administration has launched two additional modernisations of the South Bohemian corridor
Extraordinary ceremonial opening of another part of the modernisation of the 4th transit corridor from Prague to South Bohemia took place at the Soběslav railway station today. Glasses were raised for two construction parts at once: the modernisation of the Ševětín – Horusice section and Veselí nad Lužnicí – Soběslav. Passengers can look forward not only to increased line speed, but also comfort and safety. The investor of both constructions is the state organisation Railway Infrastructure Administration.
27.06.2014 Railway Infrastructure Administration (RIA) Reduced the Price of Natural Gas Supplies by CZK 6 Million
The Railway Infrastructure Administration has purchased natural gas for its central headquarters, seven regional headquarters (in Prague, Pilsen, Hradec Králové, Ústí nad Labem, Brno, Olomouc and Ostrava), three railway technical centres and other organizational units at the energy exchange, saving millions.
The Railway Infrastructure Administration (RIA) organized a one-day event under the name “RIA Student Cup” on June 25, 2014.
