19.12.2012 SŽDC signed the 2013 Collective Agreement
After more than two months of challenging negotiations the management of the Railway Infrastructure Administration signed the 2013 Collective Agreement with their social partners. This agreement ensures pay rise in a similar proportional amount which the representatives of trade unions and Czech Railways agreed upon. The volume of this year´s company benefits is the same.
17.12.2012 Railway station Stará Paka equipped with a state-of-the-art signalling installation thanks to European subsidies
Railway Infrastructure Administration completed the „Reconstruction of railway station Stará Paka for DOZ“. The mysterious abbreviation DOZ stands for signalling remote control. The implementation of the construction project aimed at enhanced safety and reliability of the railway traffic including enhanced safety and comfort of passengers. The project has been co-funded as part of the Operational Programme Transport from the Cohesion Fund of the European Union. The contractor of the construction project was the Association of AŽD Praha and Elektrizace železnic.
11.12.2012 Festive launch of the Reconstruction of the line Studénka – Mošnov aiming for capacity increase
The objective of the construction project is the reconstruction of the single-track line Studénka – Veřovice in the track section between railway stations Studénka and Sedlnice. The construction will create conditions for the implementation of the follow-up investment project of the Moravian-Silesian Region entitled „Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava, rail connection“. The new ca 3km long railway line will connect Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava.

With the release of the new timetable, a new directive of the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) will come into force, specifying the requirement for providing passengers with train information in railway stations and train stops. The reason for this is the need to define a uniform standard when delivering information service to passengers and carriers as well as to those interested in using the railway infrastructure facility to present some commercial information.

03.12.2012 Double-track operation launched as part of the Modernization of the line Votice – Benešov u Prahy
The launch of the double-track operation is a significant event. This track section runs in a completely new and straighter path. After the completion of the construction project in 2013 it will be possible to use the speed of up to 160km per hour in this section. The modernized section is part of IV Railway Transit Corridor: Děčín state border - Prague – Benešov – Tábor – Veselí n. Lužnicí – České Budějovice – Horní Dvořiště state border. The investor is the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization.

„The Bridge reconstruction on km 9,531 Čerčany – Skochovice“ commenced on today´s festive occasion. The bridge takes a single-track non-electrified railway line across the Sázava River in Týnec nad Sázavou. The reconstruction is co-funded by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund as part of the Operational Programme Transport. Another significant phase of the Czech railway modernization has been completed. The investor of the construction project „Optimization of the line Lysá nad Labem – Prague-Vysočany, 1st construction“ is the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization (SŽDC). The contractor of the construction project was AŽD Prague. The construction has been largely co-funded as part of the Operational Programme Transport from the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
