The Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) has improved conditions for the travelling public and at the same time enhanced safety in railway station Přerov that has been undergoing extensive modernization for several years. Thanks to helpful approach of construction firms, one of the subways was open to public on Thursday noon, October 25. Nearly one month ahead than previously planned, level crossings are no longer used for the access to platforms.

An important project as part of integrating the train control system in the European Union – ERTMS was launched on a festive occasion of an expert seminar. The investor of the project in the Czech Republic is the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization; the construction project will be implemented by the Association of Czech Technology for ETCS that is run by AŽD Praha. E Corridor Project: ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) in the Czech Republic is co-funded by the European Union from TEN-T Fund.

29.08.2012 A new route for trains as a result of the modernization of the Votice – Benešov u Prahy line
The last large track possession in connection with the line modernization will end on Wednesday, 29 August at 03:20 p.m. The first train to run in the new route is fast train R 202 with scheduled departure from Olbramovice at 03:42 p.m. The line relocation (in the First Railway Transit Corridor so far) will thus be serviceable between Bystřice and Olbramovice, including three new railway tunnels: Tomický I, Tomický II and Zahradnický. Two new train stops - Bystřice u Benešova and Tomice will be put into operation as well. The second open line track will be put into operation before 30 November this year.
