Another project aiming to enhance the railway safety has been launched on today´s festive occasion; it deals with the implementation of the remote-controlled signalling on the line between Františkovy Lázně and Aš. This construction is significant due to its goal to enhance the safety of railway and road operations – the reconstruction of eight level crossings. The investor of the construction is the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization (SŽDC).

The construction entitled "Reconstruction of the railway station Stará Paka for DOZ" has been launched on today´s festive occasion. The implementation of the construction will result in enhanced safety and reliability of the railway operation including enhanced safety for passengers moving in the track facility and easier access to trains. The investor of the construction is the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization.
01.12.2011 GSM-R deployment continues from Ostrava to the state border with Slovakia and from Přerov to Česká Třebová
On today´s festive occasion an expert seminar has opened another significant phase within the GSM-R implementation on the railway line Ostrava – Opava, Dětmarovice – state border with Slovakia and the connecting line of both main corridors Přerov – Česká Třebová. It involves sections that will supplement the current railway network which has been covered with all-European digital radio standard GSM-R. The I and II National Railway Corridor is equipped with the GSM-R system in the Czech Republic. GSM-R is a system which enhances the safety of key railway lines, which is why its deployment is supported by the European Union. Pursuant to the contract, the construction „GSM-R, Ostrava junction – state border with Slovakia and Přerov – Č. Třebová“ is to be completed no later than in January 2013.
Two new railway tunnels Olbramovický and Votický were put into operation on a festive occasion – on a modernized section of IV Railway Transit Corridor. Also, the odd set of tracks in the railway station Olbramovice, the new signalling installation in Olbramovice and Votice including the automatic block on the track section Votice – Olbramovice are already operating.
A new station interlocking equipment in the railway station Prague Libeň has been put into test operation. It is the electronic interlocking ESA-33 (AŽD Praha) which is to replace the obsolete relay signalling installation AŽD-71 dating from the early 70´s of the past century. The installation of the new modern signalling equipment is part of the construction „Thoroughfare in the railway junction Prague – modernization of the track section Prague Libeň - Prague Běchovice 1st part (including 2nd part)“
24.11.2011 Festive Launch of „Thoroughfare through Pilsen Junction in the Direction of III Railway Transit Corridor“
Another important phase of the modernization of the Czech railway was festively launched. The construction „Thoroughfare through Pilsen Junction in the direction of III RTC“ deals with the issues of the western section of the junction from the western gridiron of the passenger station of Pilsen main station to the western gridiron of the current railway station Pilsen South Suburb including the new bridging of the Radbuza River, Prokopova St., Vejprnicky Creek and Vejprnicka St. The construction also includes a double-sided extended subway for passengers in the railway station Pilsen main station. The investor of the construction is the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization (SŽDC).
The Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) completed the repair work at the train stop Mnichovice.
A contract for the modernization of the railway junction Pilsen in the direction of III Railway Transit corridor has been officially signed. The construction valued at CZK 942 million (without VAT) will be implemented by the company Skanska during the subsequent two and a half years. The investor is the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization. The funds will be provided by the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure and the construction has been proposed to be co-funded by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund.

Given the climatic conditions, it is possible to fully develop the planned working processes; modernization work on the line Votice – Benešov u Prahy is underway, in particular during the ongoing possession of the odd set of tracks of the railway station Olbramovice, including the connection of the local line from Sedlčany.
