End of the year offers great opportunity to review achievements within the infrastructure modernizations. Now, it is appropriate to mention constructions which would have been difficult to implement without the Cohesion Fund.

10.12.2009 Lysá - Milovice in electric operation

Electric trial operation in the railway section Lysá nad Labem – Milovice was festively launched. The main feature of this construction is the electrification of the section to meet the need to put through trains into operation from Prague to Milovice and back. With the new train traffic timetable (13th December), it will thus provide maximum comfort and shorter travelling time for passengers commuting from Milovice to the capital.

Representatives of the European Commission, the JASPERS initiative and the Ministry of Transport ČR visited the construction Benešov u Prahy – Strančice. It is a part of the Modernization of the IV Railway Transit Corridor.

03.12.2009 New gates in Bezděčín

The level crossing in Bezděčín in the railway section Dobrovice – Mladá Boleslav has been recently equipped with gates. The original level crossing safety installation without gates has been replaced with a new type PZZ-RE.

The railway section Šlapanov – Havlíčkův Brod provides railway operation which is much safer and more comfortable now. The train stop Mírovka has a barrier-free access, a new lighting system and a new platform. The investor of the project is SŽDC, s. o.

With the new train traffic time table passengers in the Karlovy Vary region will be able to use the new train stop Krásný Jez zastávka. The train station Krásný Jez is situated more than one kilometre from the village. The new train stop is located directly in the village.
