Reconstruction of the railway station Ostrava, 1st part Ostrava Hrušov - Bohumín Vrbice

Reconstruction of the railway station Ostrava, 1st part Ostrava Hrušov - Bohumín Vrbice is included in the complex of modernization constructions of the selected railway network of the Czech Republic. Over the course of previous years constructions of the II Transit Corridor Břeclav - Přerov - Petrovice u Karviné were implemented, namely the Modernization of the section Studénka - Ostrava, the Optimization of the section Ostrava - Petrovice u Karviné and the Optimization of the junction Bohumín.

The aim of the Reconstruction of the railway station Ostrava, 1st part Ostrava Hrušov - Bohumín Vrbice is to solve the succession of the aforementioned implemented constructions. The reconstruction relates to the line of national and international significance that has been included in the Agreements on the most significant lines of the international combined transport AGC (European Agreement on main international railway lines) and AGTC (European Agreement on international lines of combined transport), in the plans of railway network development elaborated at the level of the European Union and International Union of Railways (UIC).
