OP Transport
In the 2007-2013 period financial support from European Union funds for the sector of transportation in the Czech Republic is obtained primarily through the Operational Programme Transport.
The Ministry of Transport performs the role of Management Authority (MA) for this operational programme through its department of EU funds.
Operational Programme Transport is the largest operational programme in the Czech Republic – receiving 5.774 billion EUR, i.e. approximately 22 % of all finance for the Czech Republic from EU funds for the 2007-2013 period.
Through the Operational Programme Transport the main strategic objectives of the National development plan dealing with transportation are implemented. OP Transport is aimed at monitoring priorities of European and supraregional importance, however in its fulfilment it is complementary to transportation interventions as part of Regional operational programmes. OP Transport is also aimed at carrying out the priorities and objectives set out in the Transport policy of the Czech Republic for years 2005-2013 and other strategic documents. Respect will be given to the objectives of sustainable development in fulfilling all the mentioned priorities and objectives.
RIA utilises support from the Operational Programme Transport from the Cohesion Fund for railway infrastructure as part of its priority axes:
1. "Upgrading the TEN-T Railway Network" (2.190 billion € earmarked from the Cohesion Fund) and within these areas of support:

1.1. Upgrading and Development of Railway Lines in the TEN-T Network including Railway Junctions

1.2. Ensuring Interoperability on Existing Railway Lines, Ensuring Compliance with Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI), and the Development of Telematics Systems
3. "Upgrading Railway Networks outside of the TEN-T Network" (0.393 billion € earmarked from the Cohesion Fund) and within these areas of support:
