About us

The Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization (SŽDC) was established as of 1.1.2003 pursuant to Act No. 77/2002 Coll.

SŽDC's main task is to fulfil the function of an owner/operator of the national and regional rail owned by the state.

SŽDC, by course of the Railway Act, provides the operation of the national and regional rail owned by the state, its operability, modernization and development to the extent necessary for meeting transport needs of the state and transport services.

SŽDC manages assets representing the railway infrastructure.

SŽDC is a member of UIC (International Union of Railways), CER (Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies) and other significant railway associations.
