Calamitous snowfall in the railway station Horní Lideč
Horní Lideč, 16. 2. 2012– the only possible railway connection with the Slovak Republic is currently provided on the line Valašské Meziříčí - Horní Lideč – state border. The other connection with Slovakia, Mosty Jablunkova, is affected by continuous traffic closure related to tunnel reconstructions and the carriers fail to maintain the alternate bus transport.
InHorní Lideč (photo), SŽDC has been recently using all available machinery and staff as well as external firms for this night. Even despite the calamitous amount of snow, the railway transport remained operable!
