Reconstruction of the Bylnice station improved parameters of passenger transport

Bylnice, 21 June – The Railway Infrastructure Administration finished today festively the construction designated Reconstruction of Railway Station Bylnice – 1st construction. Its objective was reconstructing a substantial part of rails in Bylnice Station, situated on the lines tratích Staré Město u Uherského Hradiště – Vlárský průsmyk and Bylnice – Horní Lideč. The unfavourable state of railway superstructure could thus be eliminated, journey parameters of rails were improved as well.

 

 

Undertaking the reconstruction was necessary due to the technical state of equipment and in relation to other proposed objectives of this construction. It was based on need of railway operation where passenger transport dominates in a considerable way. The implementation of the construction ensured higher quality parameters of the line.

During construction works which took more that a year, rails No 1,2 and 4 in Bylnice were reconstructed and at the same time directional connection to rails No 3 and 4a (new numbering) was adapted. By building new platforms – peninsular and external –, by ensuring barrier-free access and by installing an orientation system, comfort for passengers was improved. A new shelter and benches also add to a higher comfort. 

The construction also included building a new lighting system of outside premises of the station and platforms, assemblage of electrical heating of switches and reconstruction of cable control mechanisms as well as dewatering. VWithin the framework of the reconstruction, the current electro- mechanic station control-command system was exchanged by new electronic equipment of Category   3 with a simultaneous cancellation of interlocking servicing.

A new technological building with a railway office and sanitary facilities for personnel has been built. A waiting room and sanitary facilities for passengers and for tickets sale are also part of the building. Most of the building premises however is taken by technology – signalling and safety equipment and  heavy-current technology (transformer station, low-tension control room, reserve power supply).

The construction is financed within the Operational Programme Transport from the EU Cohesion Fund. The maximum amount provided by the European Union amounts to CZK 161 008 143 which is 84,38% of total eligible costs. Reserve resources were provided by the State Fund of Transport Infrastructure, the Zlín Region also contributed to the implementation in a considerable way.
