SŽDC signed the 2013 Collective Agreement
After more than two months of challenging negotiations the management of the Railway Infrastructure Administration signed the 2013 Collective Agreement with their social partners. This agreement ensures pay rise in a similar proportional amount which the representatives of trade unions and Czech Railways agreed upon. The volume of this year´s company benefits is the same.
„The 2013 Company Collective Agreement does not bring about any crucial changes compared with the previous year. Employees are guaranteed the same benefits they currently have, and on top of that it also ensures pay rise in tariff classes by 1.8%“, summarizes Jiří Kolář, SŽDC Director General.
The Collective Agreement amends in detail the cooperation between the employer and the trade unions and its goal is to create social consensus within the company. It details not only the obligations but also the benefits that the employees are entitled to. After signing the agreement, their volume will be the same as in 2012. The firm has also declared in the document that there will be no radical dismissal in the next period.
„I am very happy the agreement could be signed with our partners. We had to find certain compromises on both sides. Considering the present economic situation in the Czech Republic, I consider this agreement a most reasonable maximum of the possible,“ said Jiří Kolář after the meeting and added: „I would like to thank the whole team of negotiators and our social partners for their proactive approach.“
