European Commission Representatives visited Čerčany and Senohraby
Čerčany 2009/11/23 - Representatives of the European Commission, the JASPERS initiative and the Ministry of Transport ČR visited (on the occasion of the 6th Monitoring Committee meeting of the Operational Programme Transport) the construction Benešov u Prahy – Strančice. It is a part of the Modernization of the IV Railway Transit Corridor Horní Dvořiště - Prague.
The inspectors visited the railway station Červany examining the building, underpass, platform and the ongoing construction under the railway bridge over the Sazava river. At the moment, a new steel footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists is being set up. The other stop of the inspectors was the station Senohraby where the construction work has already stopped and the station is in full operation.
The construction Optimization of the railway section Benešov u Prahy - Strančice was started on 6th October 2006 and its completion is expected before 31st May 2010. The total approved costs of the project are CZK 4.9 bln. Co-funding is planned under the European Operational Programme Transport from the Cohesion Fund. The degree of EU support is 73.95% of the eligible costs, i.e. CZK 2 951 992 302.
