For the first time, SŽDC Student Cup pays a visit to Děčín
Děčín, 20 September 2016 – This Thursday, the city of Děčín will be hosting for the first time the sports and educational event called SŽDC Student Cup. Approximately 150 pupils of the 8th – 9th class of primary schools from Děčín and its neighbourhood will meet on the playground of the High Professional and Technical School of Machine Industry, Civil Engineering and Transport at Slovanská Street. Both knowledge tests and interesting sporting disciplines will be prepared for them.
Student Cup is organised by SŽDC (Správa železniční dopravní cesty - the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) since 2013 when it took place for the first time in Prague. Since then it paid a visit also to the cities of Brno and Hradec Králové. Děčín will experience a premiere this year. Through this project, the railway infrastructure manager strives to find future employees. By an interesting and entertaining way, it presents not only separate SŽDC technical professions but also fields of study of partner high schools in the region.
The day full of entertainment, contentions and games will start in Děčín at 9.00 AM. The announcement of winners and awarding of cups, medals and valuable prizes to the best is expected between 12.00 AM and 1.00 PM.
