Railway Infrastructure Administration attracts talented students from South Moravia.
Brno, 10th September 2014 – The Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) prepared on 10 September 2014 a day-long event entitled "SŽDC Student Cup". The railway infrastructure manager is thus trying to find future employees for technical fields problematic from a personnel point of view. Therefore, SŽDC Student Cup is focused on students of the 7th to the 9th grade.
Sports disciplines and knowledge tests are prepared for hundreds of students from schools in Brno on 10th September from 8:00 AM in the Central School of Informatics, postal and financial services building in Čichmanova Street in Brno as well as personnel officers from the railway administration who will gladly introduce selected railway professions to them.
"We want to present the Railway Infrastructure Administration to young people as a dynamic company which offers an opportunity to future engineering graduates to fully implement and develop themselves," described the intent of this unique event Mr. Pavel Surý, Director General of SŽDC.
The SŽDC Student Cup Project started in the first half of last year so it is the second year of this competition. While last year Prague children got the chance to get to know the company of the Czech transport infrastructure manager , this year SŽDC prepared the same meeting for students from Brno as well.
"Next year we would like to address for example students of elementary schools from the Ostrava region. Personally, I wish we could manage to reach students from all over the country in the near future. The first year of competition had positive feedback not only from teachers, but especially from the children themselves, " says Mr. Pavel Koucký, SŽDC Director for Personnel.
