Railway Infrastructure Administration selected contractors for construction projects in Břeclav and Ústí nad Orlicí
Prague, 1 November – Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) selected two more contractors for over-limit projects related to the modernization of the railway infrastructure, i.e. railway junctions in this case. The only evaluative criterion was the lowest bid price.
In case of the Reconstruction of railway junction Břeclav, 2nd construction, SŽDC as the beneficiary decided for the bid submitted by the Association of technology – railway station Břeclav, represented by chief member Elektrizace železnic Praha a.s. and the Association AŽD Praha s.r.o.; bid price: CZK 873.3 million; all bidders were informed about the decision in writing on 31 October 2012.
In case of the Thoroughfare through the Ústí nad Orlicí railway junction, the best bid was submitted by EUROVIA CS, a.s., bid price: CZK 872.1 million; all bidders were informed about the decision in writing on 31 October 2012.
If none of the bidders of the tender procedure makes an objection within 15 days since the delivery of the decision, SŽDC will conclude Contracts for Work with the winning bidders in November.
Recently, SŽDC has selected contractors for the Modernization of the line Tábor – Sudoměřice u Tábora and for the Optimization of the line Praha Bubeneč – Praha Holešovice. The first winner was OHL ŽS, a.s., with the bid price CZK 1,437 billion, the other winner was the Association Bubeneč – Holešovice, represented by chief member Metrostav a.s. and Subterra a.s., with the bid price CZK 738 million.
The deadline for releasing the results of the tender for the Reconstruction of the Olomouc junction is yet to be announced.
All the aforementioned projects will be submitted by SŽDC for co-funding by the EU from the Cohesion Fund as part of the Operational Programme Transport.
