The Railway Infrastructure Administration issues a warning against false changes in suppliers’ bank accounts
Prague, 8 January 2015 – The Railway Infrastructure Administration (RIA) became a victim of fraud at the end of last year. In December 2014, it received an official request to change the numbers of selected bank accounts for one of its suppliers. It subsequently discovered, however, that this change in bank details was false.
The RIA has already filed a request for the commencement of a criminal investigation with the Czech Police Force. It will therefore not comment any further on this matter until the completion of the criminal investigation.
The Railway Infrastructure Administration therefore strongly warns all its resort partners and other state organisations with regard to such actions and it recommends increased vigilance should they receive any similar requests.
