Rail operation

SZDC - in compliance with valid certificates of authority and safety certificates - operates rail owned by the state and is entitled to manage:

• lines of national rail
• regional rail with the exception of
  
  • the regional line Trutnov - Svoboda nad Úpou a Sokolov – Kraslice run on a contractual basis by the company VIAMONT, a.s.
  • the regional line Milotice nad Opavou - Vrbno pod Pradědem run on a contractual basis by the company OKD, Doprava, joint-stock company

A part of the obligations of the rail operator – rail service (operation control) – is provided on a contractual basis with SŽDC by the rail service operator, in most cases Czech Railways, joint-stock company.
