Planned timetable change to be valid starting on Sunday
Prague, 10 June 2014 – The Railway Infrastructure Administration prepared a planned change of passenger trains’ timetable starting on Sunday 15 June 2014.
The timetable for passenger trains changes especially on the backbone railway line Prague – Ostrava – Slovakia for all carriers operating railway passenger transport here. On some other lines, only the extent of offered services is being changed.
In regional transport, changes occur in all regions with the exception of Vysočina Region. A positive fact is that all of these changes bring higher quality, i.e. new or extended train connections, an increased number of stops, extending the trains’ running period, new connections for changing trains, adjustments of times based on communities’ requirements etc. For instance rail transport will be renewed in Pardubice Region on the line section Moravská Třebová – Chornice (line No 017).
The adapted timetable includes also extraordinary changes that were already carried out based on carriers’ and regions’ requests as of 3 February and 7 April 2014 as well as an extraordinary change valid as of Saturday 5 July 2014 due to opening a new border crossing with Germany Dolní Poustevna – Sebnitz.
We recommend all passengers to verify the current situation for their train connection before starting their journey. All changes have been published on the website www.szdc.cz and www.cd.cz; a printed version can be also acquired free-of-charge at České dráhy cash desks on submitting a coupon which can be found in every timetable printed book for 2014.
More information can be obtained at cash desks and information centres of České dráhy.
