Railway transport from Bludov to Jeseník will be faster, safer and more comfortable
Bludov, 4 December 2015 – This year, the Railway Infrastructure Administration started revitalising the line from Bludov to Jeseník in the section Bludov (outside) – Hanušovice (outside). It will result especially in a line speed increase and a journey times reduction. Safety, travelling comfort and operation reliability will also improve thanks to revitalisation.
”Passengers will appreciate especially faster transport in this line section. While up to now maximum line speed reached 65–75 km/h, it can be increased up to 100 km/h on the majority of lines upon the revitalisation measures’ completion“, says Mr. Pavel Surý, Director General of the Railway Infrastructure Administration.
The project includes reconstruction of the railway superstructure and substructure, bridges, culverts, platforms at railway stations and stops, station and line safety equipment and railway crossings. Ruda nad Moravou and Bohdíkov railway stations will be connected to remote control from Šumperk railway station.
The construction is based on global objectives for Priority Axis No 3, i.e. improving railway transport outside the Trans-European Network (TEN-T). The investor will achieve this objective by increasing transport availability.
Total investment costs of the project designated as Revitalisation of the line Bludov - Jeseník amount up to 993,690,156 CZK (VAT excluded).
