Správa železnic Opened Reconstructed Passenger Building in Břeclav
Passengers started using a modern passenger building at the important border crossing Břeclav station. its complete reconstruction included adaptations of internal dispositional arrangement of public premises and adding a connecting corridor between the station dispatching hall and the bus terminal. Moreover, the building acquired a partially historical shape. A festive opening of the reconstructed passenger building was organized today by Správa železnic. Total costs amounted to CZK 69 million.
Správa železnic carries out Intense Reconstructions of Station Buildings throughout the Czech Republic
Last year, Správa železnic continued with reconstructions and repairs of passenger buildings throughout the Czech Republic. Works on sixty station buildings at minimum under way will bring higher comfort and travelling culture including modern handling premises and barrier-free access. The infrastructure manager thus fulfils the Government Programme declaration from June 2018, namely in the field of repairs and reconstructions of station buildings.
Reconstruction of Line Křižanov - Sklené nad Oslavou Launched
Správa železnic launches complete reconstruction of another part of the double-track arterial railway through Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Reconstruction of the line section Křižanov - Sklené nad Oslavou started in fact this week by handing over the building site. Works will last till April next year during which parameters both of the section between stations and the two stations mentioned above will improve considerably.
Správa železnic Will Accelerate Preparations on Further HSL Prague – Brno – Břeclav Sections
The Central Committee of the Ministry of Transport approved the next stage of the HSL Prague – Brno feasibility study submitted by Správa železnic. It considers the outputs from the study’s partial fulfilment as sufficient for a decision on further continuation of the high-speed line preparation and on basic leading of its corridor.
SŽDC Opened a Tender for Elaborating Documentation for a Territorial Decision to the HSL First Section
Today, SŽDC published the tender for elaborating documentation for issuing a decision on positioning a construction of the first high-speed line in the Czech Republic in the section Praha-Běchovice – Poříčany (HSL Polabí).
Feasibility Study Prague – Mladá Boleslav – Liberec Has Been Approved
The feasibility study suggesting a better railway connection between Prague, Mladá Boleslav and Liberec in a variant with modernization of the sections Praha-Vysočany – Všetaty and Lysá nad Labem/Nymburk – Mladá Boleslav – Bakov nad Jizerou including new constructions of the so-called Všejany, Bezděčín and Dalovice connections has been approved in mid-December by the Central Committee of the Ministry of Transport. After many years of verifications, a technical solution was found which could be justified economically and Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) can continue with investment preparations.
Big Reconstruction of Station Building at České Budějovice Draws Near
Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) opens a tender for a supplier to reconstruct the passenger building at České Budějovice station. The public order includes a total renovation of this listed building which will keep its historical shape even after the reconstruction and thus will become a dignified entrance gate to the South Bohemian capital. At the same time, adjoining outside premises will be revitalized as well. Construction works should be launched in the first half of next year.
SŽDC Acquired another Territorial Decision for Building a Railway Line to the Airport
Building administrations issued a territorial decision for Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) concerning another line section being a part of the project Modernization of the line Prague-Kladno with a connection to Václav Havel Airport, more specifically between the new railway stop Praha-Výstaviště and the railway station Praha-Bubny.
SŽDC Invests over CZK 1.1 Billion into Reconstruction and Modernization of Railway Crossings This Year
Continuous railway operation safety increase and even better equipment of railway crossings is one of the priorities of Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC). This year, it will invest more than CZK 1.1 billion into this area. Besides that, over CZK 650 million were invested into repairs and maintenance of current railway crossings.
Passengers Will Start Using a New Stop at Písek
Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) festively opened a new stop Písek jih. Passengers will start using it as of 15 December with the new timetable validity start. The stop will be used not only by regular trains between Tábor and Ražice but also newly introduced through trains connecting Tábor with Strakonice. Total investment costs amounted to a sum of CZK 25.8 million.
